Arashiyama Observatory

The rich nature of Arashiyama is a major drawcard. Peopｌe come from all over Japan to see Hoppo Yasoen Botanical Garden in the park, which has a vast expanse of unspoiled primeval forest that is truly rare for a city suburb. Arashiyama Park also has plenty of facilities. The hiking courses are set up by the Arashiyama Park Center so that they can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from novices to expert hikers. You can see the whole of Asahikawa from the observatory at the top of Arashiyama, and it is well known as a great place to look at Asahikawa’s night scenery or watch fireworks.
